Air Marshal (Dr) Sanjeev Kapoor is a Chairperson and Non-Executive Non-Independent Director on the Board of our Company and a distinguished former Indian Air Force officer with nearly four decades of experience in aviation, strategic leadership, national security and defence. Commissioned as a pilot in 1985, he is a Flying Instructor with over 8,000 hours of flying experience and a pioneer of aerial refuelling in the IAF.
He has played a key role in the induction of advanced combat aircraft and commanded strategic assets, in addition to leading the Boeing-777 transfer for the Prime Minister. He has also served as Commandant of the Air Force Academy and National Defence Academy before retiring as Director General (Inspection & Safety), bringing significant expertise in air power, defence preparedness, strategic affairs and national security.
He holds a PhD in Political Science, two Master’s degrees, an MPhil and a Management degree. A scholar-warrior and author of three books, he is also associated with national security think tanks and brings a strong academic and strategic perspective to contemporary defence and geopolitical affairs.
