Nationwide Examination Reform
New Delhi, September 4, 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), which conducts some of India’s largest recruitment examinations such as CGL, CHSL, MTS, and Constable GD, has announced significant reforms to further strengthen and modernize the examination process for millions of candidates nationwide.
At a media briefing led by Shri S. Gopalakrishnan, Chairman, SSC, and attended by dignitaries from EdCIL, RailTel, C-DAC, and CBSE, the Commission unveiled its AADARSH (Advanced and Dependable Assessment & Resourceful Secured Hub) Pariksha Kendra (APK) initiative.
Under this initiative, SSC will conduct exams in standardized, secure, computer-enabled, and candidate-friendly centres across India, ensuring a more transparent and dependable assessment ecosystem. About 8,000 seats under APK will be engaged in forthcoming SSC exams.
Features of AADARSH Pariksha Kendra
The APKs are equipped to deliver world-class exam experiences with:
Computer-based testing at ISO-certified infrastructure
Air-conditioned halls and baggage areas for candidates
Secured printing zones and biometric registration spaces
AI-enabled CCTV surveillance with zero blind spots
Centrally monitored command rooms and on-site technical support
Tamper-proof and candidate-friendly environments
Additional Reforms by SSC
More than 90% of candidates will receive centres from among their top three preferences; others within 200 km of their residence.
Standardized stationery across all centres.
Launch of an official SSC YouTube channel for real-time updates.
Establishment of a dedicated grievance hub for faster issue resolution, operational from the next exam cycle.
These measures reflect SSC’s vision to create a uniform, secure, and accessible platform, enhancing convenience, speed, and transparency while curbing malpractices.
